The backpacker base for Liwonde, inside its own fenced conservation area just west of the gate. It runs its own game drives and boat safaris at $30 a head, which stacked with the fees still undercuts almost every organised alternative. Local ownership is inferred from its Malawian contacts rather than confirmed.
